New Features

  • Support for custom key bindings was added
  • Query Editor now supports result set comparisons. Compare two result sets and quickly identify differences between them. You can also save result sets for later comparisons.
  • Query Editor and Export Tool now support XML and Excel output formats
  • Query Editor supports substitution variables, allowing one to write parametrized queries
  • Added support for SQL Server Agent, including configuration for Jobs, Alerts and Operators
  • MySQL JDBC driver is now bundled with DB Solo

Schema Browser

  • The data tab filtering capability has been extended. Most recent filters are persisted and can be selected from a drop-down. The filters now support sort columns.
  • Check constraints can now be created
  • Oracle tables can be renamed, moved to a different tablespace, their logging- and compress parameters changed and their comments can be modified
  • Added ability to rename SQL Anywhere tables and change table comments
  • Added ability to rename PostgreSQL tables and change table comments
  • Added ability to rename SQL Server tables and change table comments
  • Added ability to rename Sybase ASE tables
  • Added ability to rename DB2 tables and change table comments
  • Alter column dialog now supports MySQL enums

Query Editor

  • Data in text columns is also shown as hex using the selected character encoding

  • Added support for comparing CHECK/NOCHECK property for SQL Server 2005/2008
  • Added support for comparing clustered vs. non-clustered index in PostgreSQL

Schema Scripting Tool

  • Added support for PostgreSQL CLUSTER statement for clustered indexes

Table Data Compare Tool

  • The results panel is now color-coded, allowing easy identification of tables that do not match
  • Sync script creator has an option for disabling triggers and foreign key constraints
